10 interesting links from around the Web #027

From my daily browsing and reading time, I selected ten links that I found interesting both in the cultural and digital realms (and at their intersection). As you will see, the subjects vary from an AI ballet, to Apple’s Vision Pro, to Tracey Emin.

Google is apparently rolling tools that should make it easier to assess the context and credibility of search results.

Technology company Apple has entered the metaverse market with the announcement of its latest product – a mixed-reality headset that is set to go on sale in the US early next year.
  5. Lina Ghotmeh’s timber Serpentine Pavilion revealed
The first image of this year’s Serpentine Pavilion in London, which was designed by French-Lebanese architect Lina Ghotmeh, has been revealed.
  6. Finally, a Movie That Understands the Lives of Artists
Showing Up, directed by Kelly Reichardt, uniquely tells a story of an artist working far from any monetary goals or God complex.
  7. Across the Koons-verse: artist’s balloon animals make cameo in new Spider-Man film
In addition to a Koonsian clash inside the Guggenheim, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” features a fleeting Bansky reference—just like the film’s predecessor
  8. 50 Questions With Tracey Emin
As her new exhibition opens in Rome, the legendary British artist talks about her love of Margate, the loneliness of making art, and why she finally believes in love
  9. Pop-up museum commemorating Tiananmen Square Massacre opens in New York
A similar institution in Hong Kong was forcibly shuttered in 2021 following the passage of the city’s restrictive security law
  10. Is Hannah Gadsby’s Picasso Show at the Brooklyn Museum ‘Disastrous’ or Are Its Critics Just ‘Hysterical’? Here Are All the Hot Takes
Though it just opened days ago, “It’s Pablo-matic” has already inspired several waves of “takes.”

If, during your travels through the Wild Wild Web you find a link that catches your attention, let me know. I’ll take a look and, if I also find it interesting, it will make the following week’s list.
