My passion for Photography is ever present, but at times it shows itself more. This is one of those times. I start feeling like I must photograph more again (I’ve already started), and I read a lot more about the subject. My tastes in photography are wide, and my recent reading list shows it. Take a look.

This collection of essays by one of the XXth Century most prominent thinkers was published in 1977, and originally written for the New York Review of Books. It ranges many topics, namely the origins and history of the medium, and highlights several fundamental photographers through times. This is a book I read years late, but one I enjoyed from cover to cover.
Peter Lindbergh on fashion photography
Peter Lindbergh (1944-2019) is a reference in fashion photography. He worked with literally everyone in the fashion world and has created many iconic images that graced the pages of magazines and walls of museums. This is mainly a visual book that I weht through in about an hour, taking in as much as I could from each image.
On Photographs, by David Campany
David Campany winks at Susan Sontag’s “On Photography” with his title. In it, he revisits about 200 images that make up part of the history of photography, along with his insightful comment on each one. I learned a lot from reading this book and started looking differently at several images I already knew.
How I Make Photographs, by Joel Mayerowitz
Street Photography is a discipline I love, even though I’m a reserved person. Sometimes I go out with my camera into the streets and try to be as invisible as possible. Joel Mayerovitz is a reference in the field, and he shares many insights and teachings, alongside many of his images.
