I went back to London for 6 days (after almost 2 years), in very good company. I walked for miles, saw the sights, and shopped more than I should have. Here are a few pictures from that trip.

Here are some of the photos I took while spending a few days in Berlin, last September. Only today did I take them out of the camera, so here they are.

Future of Web Apps
Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007
This is where I’d love to be this week. At the Future of Web Apps Conference and Workshops. It must be a great event. I’ll try to make in next time. If anyone is attending, don’t hesitate to share comments or presentations. They’ll be much appreciated.
In the meantime, I’ll keep learning Ruby on Rails on my spare time, and using what I learn on my new Web project, still in the initial phase.
Rebooting
Saturday, September 1st, 2007
Did I mention I took 3 whole weeks off? This worked last year, and worked again this year. It’s a real shame it wasn’t 3 whole months. Then I’d really not go back to work. This not being the case, at least on Monday I’ll be there. It’s amazing how some time off can put so many things under a new and lighter perspective. That and what you do of course. So thanks to you, and you, and you
ToDo:
- Finish the Thirty Day Challenge, even though it’s officially over.
- Learn Ruby On Rails
- Plan my future (better yet… DO my future)
Have fun, and keep your mind open… I’ve been to Amsterdam, but no Magic Mushrooms for Mr. Mendes here. No sir. As the girls say “free your mind and the rest will follow”.

Time is too slow for those who wait
Too swift for those who fear
Too long for those who grieve
Too short for those who rejoice
But for those who love, time is eternity
O tempo é muito lento para os que esperam
Muito veloz para os que têm medo
Muito longo para os que sofrem
Muito curto para os que se alegram.
Mas para os que amam, o tempo é eterno

I have a bad cold. I stayed home yesterday. Today isn’t looking much better, but I’m at work… for now.
Theatre
Last Thursday I say a great play: “Burgher King Lear“, at Casa d’os Dias da Água. Anton Skrzypiciel and Miguel Borges are fantastic in their roles. Anton plays the mad (is he really?) King Lear, and Miguel plays all the other characters. Don’t miss it if there is a rerun.
Shopping
I have done no Christmas shopping yet, except for a few things over the Web. I don’t feel like drowning in a shopping mall. So I’ll try to shop at different stores. Wish me luck.
New Year’s
Rome, Berlin, London, Madrid? It will be decided in a couple of days.
Next Year
2007 will witness major changes. At least from where I’m standing. It’s bound to. As Beck so rightly put it : “Things are gonna change, I can feel it”.
