13, 14, and 15 November are the dates for this year’s edition of Sapo Codebits. It will take place in LX Factory Alcantara. Maybe I’ll drop by Forum Dança and say hi to my friends there.
I’ve been to Codebits last year, and had a great time. Very good talks, very good company, and a bunch of cool and innovative projects. This year promises to be even better. I’ll sure be there to witness. Are you coming too?

SHiFT08: 3 days very well spent

Another edition of SHiFT, another success. It was 3 days very well spent. Highlights go to Andy Budd, Mike Stenhouse, Fred Oliveira, and Tara Hunt. These speakers, among others, sure gave me much food for thought.
Also, and equally important, I met some wonderful and inspiring people like José, Patrícia, Célia, and Ricardo.
SHiFT was, above all, a chance to feel “at home” for three days, a chance to talk about the issues I care about and know I would be understood. And that, in a context such as I find myself nowadays, is a huge breath of fresh air.
So congratulations to Pedro, André, André, Bruno, and all others who made SHiFT such a success. I’ll see you in 2009.

SHiFT 2008

After a pause in 2007, SHiFT is back! This year’s edition is devoted to Transient Technologies. It will happen in Lisbon on 15, 16 and 17 October 2008. The first day is dedicated to workshops, and days two and three are dedicated to the conference itself.
Guest speakers include Andy Budd, Brian Suda, Felix Petersen, Leonel Moura, Stowe Boyd, Tara Hunt, and many more.
This kind of event is greatly needed here in Portugal. Let’s hope that, after the success I know this edition of SHiFT will be, the event becomes annual. I’ll be there, of course.
