Se o teu problema tem solução, porque que é que te preocupas?
Se não tem, porque é que te preocupas?

Party Time! Coffeepaste is 1 year old (CANCELED)

Wednesday, October 31st, 2007

Oh well.. the party was cancelled. I won’t go into the details. But the blog and the projects continue. And we will celebrate! :)
_____
Coffeepaste is a blog aiming to divulge work and training opportunities for the performing arts professionals. It was started by a couple of friends of mine, Carlos and Rita one year ago. I was invited to participate a while ago, and have been doing so with enthusiasm. We have an exciting project for the near future, involving the “upgrade” of the blog. We’re very happy that the blog is getting around 500 visits a day. That means this blog was needed, and gives us even more energy to work on it. In the meantime, if you’re around Lisbon, come and celebrate with us!

Getting Real – Free online

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

When Getting Real – 37 Signals’ bible to developing Web applications in a quick, practical, non bureaucratic manner – was released, I bought it immediately. It’s filled with great insights, and I learned a lot. Now that I’m actually building a Ruby on Rails Web application from scratch (more on this soon), I am re-reading it, and making sure I follow much of the advice. There’s now a free online version available, if you can’t afford the $19.

Seth Godin had this to say about it:
“Every once in a while, a book comes out of left field that changes just about everything. This is one of those books. Ignore it at your peril.”

Tomorrow

Friday, October 19th, 2007

The sun will come out, tomorrow
Bet your bottom dolar that tomorrow, there’ll be sun
Just thinking about, tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow,
Til there’s none.

When im stuck with the day, thats grey, and lonely,
i Just stick out my chin and grin and say,

The sun will come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on til tomorrow,
Come what may,
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow
You’re always a day away

The sun’ll come out, tomorrow,
So you gotta hang on til tomorrow,
Come what may,
Tomorrow, tomorrow, i luv ya tomorrow,
You’re always a day away,
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I luv ya tomorrow,
You’re always a day away.

Tomorrow, tomorrow, I luv ya tomorrow,
You’re always a day-a-way!!!

Madonna dá tampa à Indústria Discográfica

Friday, October 12th, 2007

Adegga launched!

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

Adegga.com
Well, it’s official. Adegga – Social Wine Discovery launched today. Congratulations to André on a great project. More on Adegga when my cellar is full :-)

What is Adegga?

Monday, October 8th, 2007

Well, let me direct you to the explanation provided by the founder himself, my friend André Ribeirinho:

Adegga
Adegga is an online service that helps you discover and choose wine by sharing your opinions with people you trust.
Adegga lets you build a personalized Watchlist so that you can keep track of what people on your list are choosing and tasting. You can add friends, wine bloggers, producer and just about anyone else. You can also add wine producers and wine shops to your personalized Watchlist so that you keep track of when a producer releases a new wine or a wine shop makes a promotion.
Adegga also helps you organize your wines. You can keep track of wines you taste, make a wishlist or organize your home cellar.

Here’s the rest of his post about this, and here’s the Adegga blog.

I was about to say “wine goes social”. But wine has always been a social act, for those of us who appreciate it. So now it’s gone Web2.0 :-) It is launching soon… I am taking a tour, and will report soon. In the meantime, won’t someone please pour me a glass?
