Top Ten Web Design Mistakes of 2005, according to Mr Nielsen

Jakob Nielsen has recently published his yearly “Top Ten Web Design Mistakes of 2005
He goes into each one in detail, so read them and have an opinion. Here is the 10 topic list:

  • 4. Content That’s Not Written for the Web
  • 5. Bad Search
  • 6. Browser Incompatibility
  • 7. Cumbersome Forms
  • 8. No Contact Information or Other Company Info
  • 9. Frozen Layouts with Fixed Page Widths
  • 10. Inadequate Photo Enlargement

    yeah…although flash sites are quite known and looks cool, it takes ages before you open a page and that depends on the connection.

    Yea I agree with these as being the top ten but what were the top 20?

    Actually Flash is just like Javascript , in the end it is a good technology , but it depends on how we are use it

    If Mr. Nielsen would be the guru of product design, all vacuum cleaners would look the same…

    Maby the top10 above is right, but I do not agree with Mr. Nielsen in many cases. His understanding of usability is able to destroy originality.
