My last week of vacation this year went by. Loads of rest, and some problem solving. It was nice.

Wednesday, September 21st, 2005

I’m on Holiday this week, so I won’t be posting much. I finished reading “Never Eat Alone“, by Keith Ferrazzi, a must!! I started reading “The Big Moo“, edited by Seth Godin, another must! More on these soon. In the meantime, stay safe.

O Seu Amor
(Gilberto Gil)

O seu amor
Ame-o e deixe-o
Livre para amar
Livre para amar
Livre para amar

O seu amor
Ame-o e deixe-o
Ir aonde quiser
Ir aonde quiser
Ir aonde quiser

O seu amor
Ame-o e deixe-o brincar
Ame-o e deixe-o correr
Ame-o e deixe-o cansar
Ame-o e deixe-o dormir em paz

O seu amor
Ame-o e deixe-o
Ser o que ele é
Ser o que ele é
Ser o que ele é

The Personal MBA @ Change this

The Personal MBA: Mastering Business Without Spending a Fortune
“Have you always wanted to pursue your MBA but have dozens of excuses for not doing so (i.e. no time, no money, no close university). Josh Kauffman will be your personal guide through how to earn a “personal MBA”.

I have had the 40 book list for a while now, and read the online forums. I have even read a couple of books. This is a brilliant idea, if you don’t want to / can’t afford an MBA. As many surely agree, knowledge lies in Books. If you read a lot, and put to practice what you learn, believe me you’ll start seeing phenomenal changes.

Also, check out the Change This site. It is a brilliant Idea from the likes of Seth Godin and Amit Grupa. It encourages anyone to get their brains working, and write his own manifestos on anything. Fantastic content, do not miss it!

Never Eat Alone

Tuesday, September 6th, 2005

I am currently reading “Never eat alone – and other secrets to success, one relationship at a time”, by Keith Ferrazzi, CEO of FerrazziGreenlight. I am reading this book at such a speed, I may finish it in under a week, and that’s amazing, according to my standards. This book is all about connecting. About how people really matter, and how, if you have a good enough network of contacts, doors will open for you sooner or later. Keith’s writing style makes this an easy book to read, filled with useful tips and techniques that will make you a better connector. Find out more about it, read Keiths’ articles, his blog, and get the book now! And then, don’t forget to let me know, so we can talk about it, and connect.

Still moving after almost a year

Monday, September 5th, 2005

It will be a year, in early October, that I’ve moved into my new apartment. It’s a great studio in central Lisbon, in a very calm area. It came with some luxuries, like a roof swimming pool, 24h doorman (not the same one), and a parking place. Of course all of these come at a price and, believe me, there have been a few months when I had to count my pennies. But, as someone said, life is too short to drink cheap wine LOL.
Yesterday I spent all day at my parents’, sorting through boxes and boxes of books, tapes, and folders I still had there. I brought back a “truck” load of stuff, but still there are (more than a) few square meters of Pedro left. So, after almost a year, I am still moving out.

Moooooo

The Big Moo” is the latest Seth Godin adventure. After the success of “The purple cow”, he dedided to challenge 33 business gurus and thinkers to share their views on business and the world! This, I’m sure is a great learning opportunity. Michael Arrington, of Techcrunch is giving away a few copies. Go take your chance. I am :-)
